Moonlight

2002-08-31
You look at the moon,

You think you see a man and his face.

You try to think,

You try to think of what to write.

You dig way deep,

You find goodness at the core.

You try to be normal

You try to fit in.

Why you ask

Why conform?

Don't!

Find yourself, search endlessly.

The original is remembered.

But friends you say.

I want friends that will always be there.

Be yourself and you will find them,

They will find you.

And what you share will be everlsating.

Everlasting?

Yes, and when you dig past friendship

When you dig beyond the friendly crust

When you dig deeper than anyone,

Deeper than anyone has ever dug

You will find gold.

You will find a bond that cannot be broken

Not even time can break it.

For then you and that someone will share

You will share to your hearts desires

Everything will be

And you will be everything.

Is it possible?

Is that person out there?

Only the stars know.

Stare for hours and slowly

Oh how slowly, painfully slow at first.

Gaining speed slowly, eventually.

Yes, eventually they will speak to you.

And you will hear. And you will know.

Oh how those stars speak slowly.

Only letting you see little pieces of the puzzle at a time.

How painful it is at times.

Is it worth it?

You sure hope so.

You sure hope so.

"We get it almost everynight when the moon is big and bright. Its a supernatural delight. Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight."
